Handmade Dice Care

Thank you so much for your order. We’re a small, two-artist workshop, and every set we send out truly means the world to us.

Each die is crafted with care and a little magic. Bubbles, swirls, and subtle marks are part of that process — unique traces of something made entirely by hand.

Cleaning

Gently wipe them with a soft polishing cloth to remove smudges, fingerprints, and restore their natural shine.

If deeper cleaning is needed, use mild soapy water and a careful hand — no scrubbing. Pat dry with a microfiber cloth and allow them to air dry completely before storing. A final pass with your polishing cloth will help remove any lingering water spots.

Never leave your dice to soak. Prolonged exposure to water can lift the ink from the numbers, leaving them faded or blank.

Rolling & Use

Treat your dice well, and they’ll return the favor.

Roll on a soft or padded surface to protect their finish. If using sharp-edged or metal dice alongside your handmade set, take care. They can scratch, chip, or scar each other, and some edges may even draw blood.

Storage

Your dice deserve a proper resting place.

Keep them out of direct sunlight and away from extreme heat — a hot car can do real harm to both finish and form.

For safe keeping, we recommend soft pouches or lined boxes with just one set inside. Too much room allows dice to knock against each other, and storing multiple sets together (especially with sharp or hard materials) can lead to chipping or scratches over time.

Think of it as a velvet-lined coffin — protective, elegant, and meant for one inhabitant at a time.
